Thankful Thursday

My life has been crazy busy the last few weeks. I have not been able to get on here as much as I would like to. Today, though, I need to take just a quick minute for my Thankful Thursday post. I have so much to be thankful for. Every day there is another miracle in my life that I am thankful for, but today I just have one thing I want to say.

I'm thankful for answered prayers.

Being Thankful...

It's been a while since I have done a Thankful Thursday & I gotta say I am glad to be back at it! There is just something about taking some time to list the things you are thankful for! Recently I have started a "gratitude journal" where I write at least one thing everyday that I am grateful for. Most of the things I have written in it have been pretty private, so this will be good to be able to post things I am openly thankful for!

I'm Thankful For:

My wonderful, adoring husband. He is always there for me & so thoughtful. -Today he surprised me with a little gift when he got home from work. Out of the blue, for no reason other than that he loved me.
My baby boy. His laugh & smile bring me so much joy. I can just sit & snuggle with him all day.
The chance to watch Connor grow & develop. He's so strong & such a big boy!
The ability to be a mother!!! I never ever take it for granted. I love being a momma & the past 6 months have been the best of my life! [I can't believe it's been 6 months!]
My family. Right now my momma, brother, & sister are visiting & its so fun! I'm still missing a few of my siblings, but I am so glad to have a couple of them here.
Friends! I have some really amazing friends that I get to spend time with & they really make my days better.
Girly things! I recently got my nails done & it's fantastic. I love all things girly =)
[That my hubby lets me spend his hard earned money on girly things.]
Blogging! I love having my outlet & I need to remember to do it daily!

I'm Thankful for Jessy!

Happy Birthday to my beautiful 11 year old sister Jessy!! She is visiting me until tomorrow & I am so lucky to get to have her her over her birthday! We have had so much fun & today has been even better than all the other days!

First thing this morning - Birthday girl!

We woke up bright & early so we could go get some McDonald's breakfast. [I'm pretty sure McDonald's is her favorite place to eat! -and mine, who am I kidding?] We were a little irritated when we got there because they didn't have either of the things we wanted on their menu. Freaking Micky D's! We were able to find something we both liked though!

Connor is wondering why we are going out in the
cold so dang early in the morning!

I have had a surprise planned for Jessy for about a week and a half, but she has had no idea what it is! She usually demands to know surprises, so I was pretty proud of myself for being able to keep this one from her!!!

I surprised her with an appointment at a nail salon to get her very first pedicure! Turning 11 & getting a pedicure. Not too shabby =) She was completely surprised & loved every second of it! She kept asking things like, "what's this part?" and "why are they putting that scrub on?". She had no idea what a pedicure even consisted of before today!

Needless to say, she is hooked! This might have to be a yearly birthday tradition! Pedicures with the big sis!

After our pedicures, Reese & Connor met us over at good ol' DQ for some lunch & a Blizzard! She told me the reason she wanted to go there was because, "I like their fries, I like their food, & I like their ice cream." You really can't argue with that!

After lunch we went over to the Dollar Store and had a lot of fun roaming the aisles. Jessy picked out 5 things she wanted & I picked out a hat for her...

I am making her wear it everywhere we go!!

The rest of the afternoon we are going to lounge on the couch, play some Dance Central 3, watch chick flix, & just hang out! Tonight I am making her favorite food for dinner: Steak & green peppers! [Reese isn't going to complain about steaks! Am I right, Justins?!]

We have to take Jessy home tomorrow & I am pretty bummed out. We have had so much fun this past week & I can't wait for her to come back again!

Happy Birthday to one of my amazing sisters!!! I love her so much & I am so thankful for her & all she does for me. She makes me so happy!

Thankful Thursday

Wow, I suck at blogging lately! Meh - oh well. Now it is time to shout out & be thankful!

I am thankful for...life. I love it & I am happy.
I am thankful for...my friends, I've really needed them lately & they've totally come through for me.
I am thankful for...making new friends. Reese & I had dinner with some people from Church on Tuesday & it was so much fun!
I am thankful for...my job. I love getting up & going to work everyday. I feel so productive & fantastic.
I am thankful for...all the new clothes I got recently & some of the old ones I have been fitting into.
I am thankful for...my coworkers! I really like them all & I'm having so much fun with them.
I am thankful for...Reese. He knows me so well & does just what I need on a bad day.

He didn't just buy me one Monster.
He got me a whole case!

I am thankful for...the end of a bad/long/stressful day & that I can unwind and sit on my couch.
I am thankful for...the blogosphere & being able to vent anytime I want [even though it hasn't been that often lately.]
I am thankful for...all the people who read my blog & care about what I have to say - I will try to be interesting for you all!

I hope you have had a good week & have a lot to be thankful for! Tomorrow is Friday & then it's the weekend! Woohoo =)

Thankful Thursday

Wow, I better get started! It is Thursday again & I have so much to be thankful for.

I'm Thankful For...
-Getting a job! Everyone knew that'd be my first one today, right?!
-God answering prayers & providing me with the perfect fit.
-My husband; he is the best & so supportive.
-Kathy. She is always there for me when I call her in a pinch!
-My dad, for marrying Kathy ;) [& for his great advice!!]
-My mom & siblings. I don't know what I'd do without their love & support.
-The Peterson side of the family. We did family pictures this weekend & they turned out fantastic!!

-Camie & how great she is to me. She is such a wonderful friend & support system; I don't know what I'd do without her.
-Janette & her awesome link up she does every Thursday -- & this week she featured me! You should go over & check out her page. She is wonderful.

-All of my family & friends [bloggy & irl] who always support me & wish me luck in all my endeavors. Thank you so much!

Thankful Thursday

Well, I have been a bad blogger this week! I guess I haven't had much to say, so I didn't want to bore anyone! But now it's Thursday & I am thankful!

I'm Thankful...

- For the job interview I had on Monday.

- For God answering prayers & providing me with an opportunity to interview.

- That it went really well & even though they said it'd be 2 weeks before I'd hear from them, I heard back that day.

- For the follow up interview I had on Tuesday.

- That I got a call today & they want me to sign a release for a background check so we can move ahead with the hiring process.

- For God's hand in my life.

- That Brittany heard about this job & told me about it!

- For being able to spend so much time with Reese.

- That I have been able to go without having a job for so long, so we could spend quality time together.

- That I finally got my permanent crown put on & my mouth is back to normal.

- For gum! Until Tuesday I hadn't been able to chew gum since JANUARY & I've been loving it.

- For my best friend, Camie, I don't know what I'd do without her.

- For my family & their great advice & love.

- That we get to spend Saturday at an awesome birthday party with close friends.

- That we get to spend Sunday & Monday with family.

- For being able to relax.

I hope you are all having a great week & I hope the weekend to come is fabulous.

Thankful Freaking Thursday

Ok, I've had a week of Monday's this week & I've been a grump, but it's time to put everything into perspective & make my thankful list. So here I go...

I'm Thankful For...
-Being able to spend time with family; we've had a lot of that the last few weeks & it's been good.
-Exercise. No matter how bad my day is going, if I get up & exercise I always feel at least a little bit better.
-God answering prayers. I have a job interview on Monday. Nothing is for sure, it's just an interview, but I am so grateful to be able to get out there & try!
-Dr. Pepper. It really helps me have a better day when I need a little pick-me-up.
-Friends & being able to VENT! Sometimes a girl just needs to let it all out.
-All of my wonderful bloggy friends. I always get nice, sweet feedback on my posts, but I was having a bad day yesterday & I got some amazing comments that really helped me. Thank you so much ladies.
-Windows Live Writer. Where have you been all my life?!
-Happy Sumo. I must eat there while I am in Utah. I love me some Sushi.
-How Reese & I balance each other out so well. When he is having a bad day I can be the positive "cheer leader" he needs & when I am having a bad ~~week~~ day he goes above & beyond to help me out.
-Being able to write something out, make me feel better, then delete it so I'm not making certain people mad when they read it.
