We Want To Know

I am on my way out the door, but I wanted to get this posted [I answered the questions last night because I knew I wouldn't have time this morning]. I will be making the rounds & reading everyone else's responses after work tonight! Now, let's get to it because We Want To Know!!! 



1.What are 3 must haves for a long road trip? Good music! That is a must. You can't sit in silence on a long road trip. A good soda/Monster Energy Drink. Lastly & most importantly - my husband! For the good conversation he provides, along with the fact that he is the one who gets out & fills up the gas tank!

2.What was the destination of your most recent road trip? That would be to the biggest major city around my parts - which is about 2 hours east of us! I had to get some shopping done! [Which I did - very successfully!]

3.What do you miss most about home when on a trip? My BED! I hate hotel beds, but even worse - I hate sleeping on couches when visiting family. [Sorry family, I love you - but I hate the couches!!]


4.What is the furthest you have traveled on a road trip? When I was 13 I went from Grand Forks, ND to Sandy, UT on a Greyhound bus! Eeesh! That was like 23 hours nonstop. No thank you. Never again.

5.Will you "stop for the largest ball of twine, etc" or are you a "hurry up and get there" road tripper? Oh, it definitely depends on where I am going & why. If we are on a road trip just to be on a road trip then I love to stop, get out, take pictures, & enjoy our time. But if we just going somewhere that happens to be far away I am DEFINITELY the "hurry up and get there" type!!!

Friday Confessional

I confess…
I’m starting my new job today & I’m pretty nervous.
I actually feel like I could puke I’m so nervous.

I confess…
Everyone keeps telling me not to be nervous, but I still am.
Even though I’m nervous, I kinda know I’m gonna rock =]

I confess…
Last night I had cucumbers & a Monster for dinner.
It was half healthy, half not healthy, & fully delicious.

I confess…
I’m really excited to go shopping tomorrow for new clothes.
We’re also going to a movie & dinner - that’ll be awesome.

I confess…
I’m REALLY going to miss all my “Reese time” now that I’ll be working.
We’ll just have to start staying up later, so we can have more hours together.

I confess…
I’m sad to lose computer time.
I know I spend way too much time on the computer, but I will still miss it.

I confess…
I worked out everyday this week & I feel great!
I ran a mile without stopping & I “whooped” out loud I was so proud of myself.

I confess…
I want another blue Monster - I can’t stop thinking about their deliciousness.
They might be better than the green ones.

I confess…
This has been kind of a long post, but I also feel like I talked about nothing.
I better get my booty out the door to my first day of work! I guess I’m a real grown up now. Wish me luck!!!

Thankful Thursday

Wow, I better get started! It is Thursday again & I have so much to be thankful for.

I'm Thankful For...
-Getting a job! Everyone knew that'd be my first one today, right?!
-God answering prayers & providing me with the perfect fit.
-My husband; he is the best & so supportive.
-Kathy. She is always there for me when I call her in a pinch!
-My dad, for marrying Kathy ;) [& for his great advice!!]
-My mom & siblings. I don't know what I'd do without their love & support.
-The Peterson side of the family. We did family pictures this weekend & they turned out fantastic!!

-Camie & how great she is to me. She is such a wonderful friend & support system; I don't know what I'd do without her.

It’s Friday & I’m linking up with Mamarazzi to confess. You should do the same!




I confess…Reese couldn’t find his keys this morning. He asked me if I knew.
I had no idea.
He then looked in the front door & there they were.

I confess…He had let us in last night & left the keys in the door all night.
That worries me a little.
He said, “To be fair - I let you in & then had to get the mail - don’t be made at me.”

I confess…I wasn’t mad, just a little worried.
His car could have been stolen.
It could have been worse than that - someone could have gotten in.

I confess…We’re having family pictures done with the in-laws on Monday.
I’m a pizza face right now & I don’t know why - I love being in my mid-twenties & breaking out like a teen.
I’m a little worried my shirt is too tight & I’ll look like a hippo in white.

I confess…I’m praying so hard that I get the job I interviewed for this week.
I know it’ll happen if it’s meant to be.
I've just always been bad at the patience thing.

I hate being away from Reese.
I had to be apart from him most of last week & it was the worst.

I confess…
Reese & I are going to Ikea today.
I've never been & I hope we can find a great table!

I like shopping.
I do pretty well with saving money & not shopping excess.

I did just get some REALLY cute new shoes though…
I had to get rid of an old pair before I could get these - that was Reese’s stipulation.

I confess…
I HATE when I am posting a comment on someone’s blog & it makes me type that dumb word verification.
I don’t care if I’m offending someone who does it; I hate it that bad.

I confess…
I lied. I actually do care about offending people, but I do hate doing the word verification.
I also hate when music starts up right away. - Let me decide whether or not I want to listen to music you like.

I confess…
I’m worried that my last two confessions were a bit too snotty, but I don’t want to delete them.
Some people tell me my opinions are “too strong”.

I confess…
I have a family reunion tomorrow with my Grandma’s side of the family; mostly people I have never ever met.
I’m excited to see some of the people that I do know & meet new family members.

This has been way too long, so I better say goodbye!

We Want To Know

This weeks questions come from Alicia & they rock,  so let's get started!

1. What is the best advice someone has ever given you? Wow, that's kind of a tough one. I haven't ever really received any great advice. Just kidding! I think some of the best advice I've ever gotten was before I got married. I was told to make sure I keep my marriage centered on God. We both make sure to think of God, each other, then ourselves & we've been extremely blessed and happy.

2. What is your greatest accomplishment? Will it be annoying if my first 2 answers are about Reese? I honestly feel like finding Reese & being able to get married in the LDS Temple is my biggest accomplishment. I didn't always make the wisest decisions when I was younger, but I am so glad that I got my act together enough to find a man like Reese & be lucky enough to have him want to marry me.

3. Who do you admire? So many people [I want to say Reese, but that would just get obnoxious]. I admire my brother, Chris. He has gone through so much, over come so much, & has turned out to be an amazing young man. He has a strong testimony in Jesus Christ & he gets out there & teaches people. He does what he believes is right & he doesn't give into peer pressure. He is my younger brother & I hope to be just like him someday.

4. If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be? Oh boy - this is kind of a sensitive one. Recently I've blogged about losing some friends, because they just decided they didn't want to be friends with me anymore. That made me really look at myself, take inventory, & try to change. The biggest thing I am working on right now is to be less judgmental & more understanding of others. I need to look into myself & worry about myself & not care about what other people are doing. Other than Reese, I am the only person I should be worrying about. It's hard & I find myself being tough on others, but I am working on it.

5. How do you want to be remembered? I want to be remembered as a kind person. I always joke with my friends about how I'm rude & feisty & I like it that way. That's true to an extent, but I want to be kind. I want people to remember me as someone who they could always count on & who would always be there for them.

I Confess...

It feels so good to be home!

I had a great time with my family, but I love being home with Reese.

I spent some time at the pool while in Utah.

It's my favorite.

I got a good tan!

The sun bleached my re-growth.

All of the hair on my hairline is BLONDE - white blonde.

I'm dying my hair right now.

It was time before the sun incident, but now it's really time.

I don't really have time to dye my hair today.

[I don't really have time to be blogging today...]

We're going out of town again, tonight.

I thought we were going to be leaving much earlier than we are.

We are helping some of the in-laws move - they're starting college.

I am happy to help.

I'm a little tired of being in the car, but I can't wait to see their new homes.

I get to eat at one of my favorite Chinese places tomorrow.

That's a big perk for sitting in the car for 6 more hours.

I'm going to lunch with Camie today!

I haven't been so excited for something in a while.

I better go be responsible & pack/clean/get ready!

I confess...

*That I've been working out all week & I feel great!

*I love getting up & feeling productive.

*I am really excited for the two James' in my life to come visit on Saturday [My dad & brother].

*I have a shiz bucket ton of cleaning to do before they get here.

*My house isn't that messy, but I want to get it spotless before I have company.

*I don't like to do a lot of cleaning all at once.

*I made a list of things to do from Wednesday-Saturday so I can clean at my leisure.

*I know that makes me kind of sad, pathetic, & lazy but I don't care.

*That is my list, but I just spent way too much time making it "cute" so I could post it.

*I'm getting a lot closer with my new sister, Brittany, & I love it.

*We trust each other & help each other out. It's nice.

*I'm a negative person hiding in a positive person's body.

*It's quite the ordeal everyday to put on my "uniform", but I'm glad I do

 it - because a positive person would be glad. Right?!

*I watched Revenge of the Bridesmaids on Netflix & it cracked me up.

*I cancelled the DVD part of Netflix when I found out they're upping the prices.

*I'm not cheap, but I feel like they are taking advantage of people.

*I shall never give up the Instant Streaming. Oh no.

*I have to pee, but I'm holding it so I can continue this post.
*I ate wayyyyy too many brownies last night at Camie's house.

*I don't really have anything more of worth to confess.

We Want To Know

It's Wednesday & time to link up with Mamarazzi & Alicia aka Queso for some fun questions so we can all get to know each other a little better! 


1.If you could be on any game show what would it be? Oooh, that's a toughy. The Match Game..if it were still on - it's been off the air for about 40 years now, but I loved watching it on GSN & I think it would be so fun to play!

2.If you could stay any certain age forever, what would it be? I don't have one yet. That's for sure. I've liked every age I've been just fine, but I don't have kids, I don't own a house. I don't want to pause yet!

3.What were you doing 30 minutes ago? Eating breakfast & saying "I can't believe I won something" over & over to my husband before he went to work. He just kept saying, "Wow. Yeah. Cool." He's obviously not as excited as I am.

4.What would I find in your fridge right now? Lots of water, lots of Dr. Pepper, a few Cherry Pepsi's, bread, condiments, milk, veggies, cream cheese, sour cream, hot dogs, lunch meat, cheese, crescent rolls, Lunchables, & that's probably about it. It's grocery day today.

5.If you were a piece of furniture what would you be? Why? I was going to say "a wall" so that I could see & hear everything going on around me.  You know, like being a fly on the wall. But...that's not furniture, so I'd say a couch. Soft & comfortable, plus I get to be in the living room with everyone & watch all the cool TV shows! Oh yeah.

I confess...
-I have a lot to say today, but I don't know how to say some of it.
-I wouldn't have even done a Friday Confessional post if my sister, Brittany, hadn't kicked my butt into gear today.

I confess...
-I feel like I am falling behind sometimes.
-I feel like I should have kids & own a house.
-I love the stage Reese & I are at, but I hate feeling like I'm behind.

I confess...
-I wish I could take Camie's kids home with me sometimes.
-I love them like family.
-They are the cutest kids I have ever seen.

I confess...
-I HATE when people take advantage of kind people.
-I've never been a really kind person, so I've never had that problem personally.
-I have a friend that is super kind & she gets taken advantage of sometimes.
-I want to punch those people in the face.

I confess...
-I punched Reese in the arm last week kind of jokingly, but I hurt myself.
-I'm a girl - through & through, I don't know how to punch.
-I can kick & pull hair like nobody's business though!

I confess...
-I hate when people spend more money than they have.
-I hate when it effects my loved ones.
-I think people should do what they want when they are only responsible for themselves, but when one is responsible for others they should sack up & take care of things.

I confess...
-Reese & I went to the fair last night with Camie & her kids - I got two bags of mini donuts.
-I don't care that they are deep fried & gross - I love them.
-I will never go on a ride at a fair/carnival. As my mother would say, "H. E. double hockey sticks, no!"

-I really wasn't in the mood for a confession today, but I am so glad I did.
-I didn't post some of the big things on my mind, but just thinking about them helped me to feel better.

-I am going to see RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES tonight & I couldn't be happier.
-I love boy movies & I ain't scurred to admit it.

1.If you  could spend a day with a blogger, who you haven't met in real life, who would you choose? Oh man, I don't know! This is a tough one. Can't I just say EVERYONE that I haven't met yet? Really. I feel that way. But that's not fair, so I better answer...Amber, Jessica, & Janette. Also, that's kind of scary putting that out there - what if these ladies hate me?!

2.What website do you check first when you go online? Facebook. Every time. It's a sickness. But now it is starting to battle with Pinterest.

3.What is something you are saving money for right now? Just to put money back into our Health Savings Account. With Reese's eye issues & my teeth issues we have seriously depleted our health savings. It is not fun & totally stresses me out thinking about having another emergency, but being out of money. No bueno.

4.What is your go to silly face when a silly face is needed? [post a picture of it and be entered to win a prize from Mamarazzi.]

The eyes aren't always crossed, but it helps.

5.How do you relieve stress? By crying a lot, & having Reese hold me. Usually though I don't do that until I am about to burst. The stress builds & builds & I get more stressed out, then one day I just kind of break. I should think of a way to relieve it sooner so I don't have to have a freak out! Any suggestions?!

I can't believe it's Friday again. This Summer is just flying by!

Anyway, I better get to my confessin'.

I confess...

-It stresses me out having 2 kitties. I love Saphira & I love Simba, but I do not love the combined effect. They do not get along & it breaks my heart to watch Saphira hiss at Simba [or me]. But I do love them both sooo much!

-I hate when people in my life make idiotic decisions. Especially when they're "older & wiser" than me. I'm younger than you, I shouldn't have to be the responsible one!
-I love new bloggy friends!! I have made a couple really good ones so far & I just love it.
-I am really glad I have made some bloggy friends, because it seems I have a hard time making friends IRL.
-I've recently started watching The Jersey Shore on Netflix. Don't judge. It's a disgusting, tacky, & terrible train wreck and I'm hooked.
-My athlete's foot is almost gone, but I think I may have gotten "athlete's hand." I hate my life.
-I am so excited for tomorrow - Camie, Thom, & their kids are going to the lake with us. Or we're going with them. We're going to the lake together! It is going to be so much fun. Food. Sun. Water. Friends. Kids. That is the ideal Saturday!
-I love that I don't work & I get to spend time with Reese a lot when he travels for work. It's nice to be able to go on long drives with him [& then sit in the car patiently while he goes into places and works - I am always sure to bring a great book!].

I had some pretty great crème brûlée yesterday.

Reese liked it more than I did - he ate 90% of it.

I am a little hurt by one of my family members.

I can't tell the person, because they aren't at a place to listen.

It's one of the hardest things I've ever experienced.

I like to resolve things & it eats me up inside to not be able to.

I was trying to buy a song on iTunes yesterday & I accidentally bought the tribute to the song.

I am pretty peeved at my own idiocy. 

I'm listening to it right now so I don't feel like I wasted money.

I know I wasted my money - I'll never listen to this tribute crap again.

I love Blink-182.

I don't care that I'm too 'old' to like them.

They take me back to a very wonderful time in my life.

I'm psyched they have a new single out!

I wish I was tanner.

I wish sooo desperately that I could get brown without ruining my skin or risking cancer.

I love spending time with my family.
I almost peed my pants when my 9 year old sister said, "I broke up with my boyfriend. He cheated on me....with a 3 year old. And he was one of my good ones too."

I could sit on the couch & talk with Whitney for hours.
We did last night!
I'm way too tired to function today.

I'm hoping I can convince everyone to go to PF Chang's for lunch today.
I'm so glad we don't have one where I live because I'd get fat from eating there.

I hate the dentist.
It's not because I have childish fears, but because they always seem to mess up.
I'm going there today.

I may or may not be a little drugged up this afternoon.
It might make me lack on my bloggy duties for a while.

-I love that it's ok to blow stuff up & seem like a crazy pyro one day a year.
-I wish I could do it more.
-I don't really like the big, "pretty" fireworks - they're too loud for me.

-I haven't always liked holidays.
-I used to be a total scrooge.
-Reese changed that for me.

1.What was the last thing you searched for online?
A resume template. I was looking over my current resume & it felt a little bit outdated. Time to upgrade!

2. If we visit your home state, what is one MUST we should do before leaving?
Oh boy. I have no idea. I live in a very boring state, unless you love to hunt. Which I don't, so I would not name that as a must do! We do have some very pretty mountain ranges here though, with some great views. So I would recommend going & seeing them!

3. What do you think pharmaceutical companies should invent a pill for that isn't on the market yet?
Idiots. I know, I know - I could be selfless & list something like "An instant cure for all diseases." But, we know that's not going to happen; they're doing their best to cure any & all diseases now, so we just have to wait. So I'm dreaming up something that would never happen, but that I'd like to happen. I wish I could give a pill to some of the people in my life to get them to shut the idiot off.

4. When was your first kiss? Was it good or bad?
I was in between 7th & 8th grade and it was a tiny little peck with a kid named Tyson. It wasn't good or bad. It was 2 kids not knowing what to do & trying to put their lips together.

5. What is your guilty pleasure TV show that you cannot miss?
I don't really have any "guilty pleasure" TV shows...I have a few shows that I watch, but none that I am guilty about! Hmm...I guess maybe Pretty Little Liars, because it's such a teenager show & I am so past that age. I do love the drama of it - even though it's so far fetched & ridiculous!

Friday Confessional

It's that time again. Time to confess & this week I've got quite the embarrassing story. It basically tells the world that I'm awesome....Didn't you know?

I confess....

• I had a BIG fail this week.
• Big one.
• I was getting ready in the morning.
• Doing hair & make up - you know, the typical stuff.
• Then I decided I needed some lotion.
• It's summer time.
• Warm out there.
• My skin is getting dry & I want to keep it moisturized.
• I reached into the cupboard under the sink & grabbed my lotion.
• Opened it.
• Put a large amount in my hand & started rubbing it onto my arm.
• Then the smell hit me.
• It wasn't right.
• A little stinky.
• I looked at the bottle.
• Oh shiz!!
• I grabbed my Fake Bake self-tanner
• NOT my Victoria's Secret Amber Romance.
• You know how when you're putting on regular lotion you just kind of slap it on?
• [Well I do, anyway].
• When you are putting self-tanner on you kind of need to be a little more...careful.
• I wasn't.
• It was too late.
• I had already rubbed it all over my arm.
• My elbow included.
• [I definitely leave my elbows out when I know I'm going to be using self-tanner!]
• I had to asses the situation.
• It was on there too well to try & wash it off.
• I was going to have to put it on my other arm as well.
• And hope for the best.
• So I hurried & tried to remedy the situation as best as possible.
• I put it on arm #2.
• Grabbed a cotton ball & got it wet.
• Tried to wipe my elbows off.
• I succeeded.
• It ended up ok.
• I wasn't streaky & gross.
• But I did smell like self-tanner all day.
• Not like delicious Amber Romance like I had intended.
• I learned a lesson: LOOK BEFORE YOU APPLY!
• Also, I'm awesome.

1. What is the best or worst pick up line you have ever been given? It was [of course] by Reese & when I think back it may have been a little lame, but who cares I knew he was going to be my hubby someday! We were watching a movie together & he leaned over and said, "So, I'm going to kiss you now." Ok! It would not have worked had it been anyone else =)
2. What is your most and least favorite day of the week? My favorite day of the week is Sunday. Reese is home from work, we get to go to Church, & -the best part- take a Sunday nap! My least favorite day of the week would have to be....Thursday. It's so close, but still oh-so far away from the weekend! It's close enough that I can look forward to having Reese home on Saturday all day, but far enough away that he still has 2 full days of work away from me.
3. How many hours of sleep do you require each night? I don't know about how many I actually require, but I sure like to get 10 or 11! Hah! I know it's a lot, so I don't do it very often, but when I get to it is pure bliss.
4. Is there a song that takes you back in time? What song is it & what's the memory attached? Yes there certainly is! Michael Buble's Everything. Reese had that song playing on repeat in the background when he proposed to me. [Which is a fabulous story, I will write about it someday!] It takes me back to the day I knew he wanted to be with me forever just like I wanted to be with him forever.
5. What is your biggest guilty pleasure? Getting sucked into a good book! I love to read, but I have a hard time sitting down for just 15 minutes and reading a bit. When I read it kind of takes over my life. I will sit down & start a book and not get one thing done for the day. Laundry? Eh, it'll keep. Dishes? There are only a few... Dinner? Hmm, we could probably have cereal! I try not to do that too often, but when I do I am a little guilty. So yeah, that's my guilty pleasure!

I confess....

• I hate when people talk about other people behind their back.
• I hate when people are too chicken to say it to someone's face.

I confess....

• I hate when people spread rumors.
• It drives me crazy when people feel the need to spread everything they ever hear.

I confess....

• I recently had some people in my life that gossiped & spread rumors constantly.
• It was hard to sit there quietly & not participate when they would do this.

I confess....

• Sometimes I would get sucked in & add to the problem.
• I would beat myself up about it for days after.

I confess....

• I am so glad those people aren't in my life anymore.
• It's hard knowing they are out there spreading lies about me though.

I confess....

• I act tough, but when I hear a rumor about me it hurts.
• It hurts a lot.

I confess....

• Sometimes I call my mom, or talk to Reese, & cry about it.
• I wish I was strong enough to not let it bother me.

I confess....

• I would like to have a chance to defend my honor.
• I hate when people won't own up to starting a rumor when I call them out on it.

I confess....

• I am not perfect & I talk about people behind their backs sometimes.
• I wish I could be better.

I confess....

• I am going to try to be a better person & not do things I hate.
• I won't hold it in though, I will tell the person -to their face- what is bothering me.

• I love Friday Confessionals.
• They are just what I need to start my weekend off right!
