When my alarm went off at 7:50 this morning I seriously considered turning it off & falling back to sleep. I wanted to go to Church. I love Church, but I was just so dang tired.
I got up, got ready, & went. I am so glad that I did. Church was fantastic today. It is every week though, right? It's kind of silly to say it was extra good, because the Spirit is always there, but I swear - today it was extra good!
Sacrament Meeting was great, it was Testimony meeting & I enjoyed it so much. So many members got up and bore their testimonies & the Spirit was so strong. I could feel Christ's love for all of us. It was wonderful.
Then we went to Sunday School & Reese was the teacher today. I love it when he teaches; he's the best teacher ever [I don't care if I'm a little biased - I love the way he teaches]. The lesson was on Repentance & I just loved it. At the end of the lesson it said something about us asking God for forgiveness everyday & progressing towards perfection. I liked it so much that I typed it up & I'm going to hang it in my room so I can see it every day.
I liked it so much because it has us ask the Lord what we should repent for, instead of us trying to remember & maybe forgetting things. He is the one who knows all & knows what we need to repent for, & I just loved how it was worded.
Relief Society was great. The lesson was on Forgiveness - which totally goes hand in hand with Repentance. It just came around full circle & I felt the Spirit so strongly. The teacher talked about how we must forgive others even when they don't ask for it. She talked about how if we don't forgive it hurts us more than the person we are holding a grudge against. It is so true. There are some people that I am holding grudges towards & they don't even know it. They could care less; we aren't even friends anymore. It's harming me, not them. It is time for me to forgive & forget. Let it go & move past it.
Church was great. So uplifting & edifying. Reese & I cam home, watched a movie, took a nap, ate some dinner, read the Scriptures, & enjoyed our time together. Sunday's really are the best.
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I know I sure did & I can't wait to start a new week.
