Brand New Woman

Ok, so I know this may not seem blog worthy to any of you, but it is to me - & it's my blog, so I'm posting it =) For about 5 months I have been wanting to change my hair. Cut or color. Just SOMETHING! I have been so bored. I used to change my hair every 4-8 weeks. Not just a trim, or something subtle. A full on change. Blonde to brown. Brown to red. Chin length to drastic A-line bob. You get the idea, right?! But for the past year and a half I have been growing my hair out [it's taken quite a while because I've been desperate for a trim & couldn't wait until the next time I'd see my mom so I would go to a salon here in Riverton. BIG mistake. They botched me. Took about 4 inches]. So I have been needing to do something fun with the color. About 10 months ago I added some maroon to the underneath section of my hair & that was fun. It sated me - for a while. Then it faded & I had a poopy brown underneath. So, maroon again. The upkeep was getting to me. I was getting bored. Again. Then 5 months ago I NEEDED to do something new, but I couldn't decide. So I just touched up my blonde and continued to be bored. Then about 2 months ago I got the itch again, bad. I wanted to go brown! All brown. I chickened out. I felt like maybe I should just put some low lights in. See how I'd like a little brown all throughout. So I called the amazing, fabulous, wonderful Camie & asked her to make me gorgeous! [She did the best she could, but that was a tall order ;)]. My hair looked great! I loved it. So fun. Something new. But it faded pretty quickly & then I was back where I began - blonde on top & brown underneath. Well yesterday the need for change was unbearable. I posted something on Facebook, asking people to tell me what they thought I should do. I had a mixture - go brown, go all blonde, keep it how it is. None of them were more popular than the others. So Reese & I talked. His vote is the only one that really matters anyway, right? And we decided. I had product at home & I did it! BEFORE I could chicken out again. I've been wanting to do this for months & it's finally done. I'm a brunette! We will see if I can have more fun now. I will find out if blondes or brunettes really have more fun =) But for all of the Jennifer's of the world, who say things like "You need to go back to blonde, you don't look the same", I want you to know something - I did this for me. That's it. Not for anyone else, but me. I was bored & I wanted a change. So if you don't like it & you wish I was a blonde again I don't care. Sorry. I love you all, but this is for me & I am happy! I love it. Anyway...here's the new me -
