Sunday Fun-Day!

Today was great! I love Sundays. Especially when I get to enjoy the teachings of Reese =) He got to teach the combined 5th Sunday lesson today. The bishop asked him to speak on missionary work [he is the Ward Mission  Leader]. He had the full hour, the full ward, and every one's full attention. He was a little nervous, but no one could tell - he rocked it. He prepared a wonderful lesson comparing our ward to the waters of Mormon using Mosiah 18 as his reference. It was fantastic. He is a great speaker. When I was telling his family how well he had done Brittany said, "well yeah - he's a Peterson". It's funny, but so true. They may be a little nervous beforehand, but as soon as they get up to the front their nerves are calmed & they know exactly what to say & can say it with ease. I can't do that & I envy it a little, but my kids will be "full Petersons" so they should have that amazing trait! After hearing his lesson I'm fully energized & ready to be a strong member missionary! Chris would be so proud of me!

Right after Church we got in the car & headed to good ol' Cowley for the second time this week [we are so tired of traveling]. Kyle got his Patriarchal Blessing tonight. Wow! What a great experience! I won't say much more than that about it, but I am so glad we were able to be here & enjoy that special Blessing with him. Kyle is a phenomenal person. I look up to him. He is so strong in the Church, he's a leader, a friend, a great brother, & he has a strong testimony. He has his whole life ahead of him & now he knows what he can expect if he lives righteously.

After we got back to the Peterson house we did what we do best - EAT! Oh my gosh! Why does Cresta have to be such a good cook? Can't it stop?! We had so much food. Caramel popcorn, brownies, cookies, sandwiches, chips, etc! The list goes on & on. We ate & played "Hand & Foot" - a classic Peterson game. Lots of fun. Jordan & Brittany won. They claim to always win - we'll have to put that to the test someday. We don't get to play with them enough for us to be ok with them claiming to be the all-time winners! Oh, and of course the boys goofed off. You can't really have any sort of [Peterson] family get-together without siblings reverting back to their youthful ways!

All in all it was a fabulous day & I can't wait until tomorrow!
