We showed up, helped them load up the car, & sent them on their way. Both of the boys were up to say goodbye to Mom & Dad, so now it was time to start playing! We had a great day! The boys played some Wii [of course].
I get a text at 3 o'clock saying "She's getting close now. Really close." Oh boy! We are all so excited. It's almost time! And then....nothing. We don't hear anything for a while! We figure that's because there is a lot going on over at the hospital. So Reese goes and picks up some pizza and bread sticks for dinner. Mmm mmm!
At about 4:45 we get a Picture Message & there is a picture of Mommy & Baby! The boys can't wait to see! Ian says, "Mommah & Bubbbee!" Izacc says, "Oooh, I love her!" It's adorable. Then it's finally time to go to the hospital!
We finally got home around 8:45pm & fell into bed! Well, I did anyway. Reese had gotten his second wind & stayed up to play some video games. Not me. I went right to sleep. We had to get a good night's sleep because we were leaving first thing in the morning [Sunday] to head to Utah.
We needed to leave by 8:30 am because we had some plans to meet with some of our really good friends in Rock Springs for lunch. But me, being the awesome person I am, set the alarm for "Monday-Friday" not "Tomorrow" so our alarm did NOT go off! We woke up at 8:11! We were frantic. Running around, bumping into each other, we basically looked like a hyped up cartoon.
We made it to Rock Springs in time for lunch & it was great. Well, the company was - the food wasn't as much. We had some good laughs, conversation, & time. Then it was time to get to Utah for Sami & Big Chris' birthday party!
Chris' birthday is the 9th & Sami's is the 13th so we did a combined family party on Sunday the 12th. It was very fun! We had a big ol' beef pot roast & the whole spread! My mom is an amazing cook. The best there is! Then it was time for presents!
Monday. Time to go home, but not before Reese's eye doctor appointment in Salt Lake @ 3:30. We had some time to kill before needing to head to SLC, so we decided we'd all go shopping & to lunch. While we were all getting ready we decided that Sami & Bret were going to come home with us for a while! Woohoo! So spontaneous & so fun.
We went shopping all morning, then ate lunch at Panda Express [Sami picked it, because it was her birthday & that's how it works!] Then Reese, Sami, Bret & I headed to Reese's eye appointment. They were running behind. Typical doctors office. We didn't get in until 4:15 & didn't finish until 5:20. Oh man...this was going to be a long night, we still had 6 hours of driving time ahead of us!
We stopped in Evanston & got some fireworks and some dinner. [Seriously, never eat at the Evanston McDonald's - you don't want to know why.] Then we headed home! We took turns picking out what songs to listen to & we all rocked out the whole way home! It was a wonderful drive. Even though we didn't get home until 11:15, the drive felt like it went by really quickly & we enjoyed being together!
Now we have a week to play & have fun before Bret goes home! Let the games begin.

I am so jealous that you got to hold a brand new baby! There is nothing like it in the whole world! It's awesome that they had great friends like you two to watch/play ;) with their boys while they were away.
I have no words. You two are the most amazing people in the entire world and I am so lucky to have you in my life. I don't know what I would have done without you and I am so glad you got to share the whole experience with us. I love you forever and you're seriously the best there is.
